About the architecture studio
The architectural studio viis design is structured collaboratively by professionals with vast experience from various areas of Architecture, under the leadership and direction of Architect Silvia Soonets.
For more than 25 years, Silvia Soonets has developed urban planning projects, social housing, residential, hotel and commercial projects in different Caribbean countries. Several of these projects have been recognized with international and world awards, highlighting the Global Gold Holcim for Sustainable Construction and the First Prize for Urban Design at the Quito Architecture Biennial.
Established in Punta Cana since 2019, developing architectural design services for various clients in the East Zone, Jarabacoa, Casa de Campo and Santo Domingo.

Architect, Simón Bolívar University, Caracas, 1986. Master in City and Urban Planning, Open University of Catalonia, 2019. Specialization in Construction Management, Metropolitan University and Certification in Project Management, Project Management Institute, 2003.
Director of Proyectos Arqui5 C.A., an architecture and urban planning firm based in Caracas, with experience in social housing and urban development. Director of Viis Design, based in Punta Cana, specialized in high-end residential projects. Projects awarded at the Costa Rica Architecture Biennial, 2004, Quito Architecture Biennial, 2004, and Holcim Awards, 2006.
Professor of architectural design at the undergraduate level at the Simón Bolívar University.
